Vice President of India says, Rise of Bharat is an assurance for global peace and harmony 

Vice President of India delivered a speech at the inaugural International Strategic Engagement Programme (IN-STEP), highlighting the importance of global collaboration and comprehension regarding strategic matters. Hosted at Uprashtrapati Nivas, the event was coordinated by the National Defence College (NDC), attracting participation from international delegates representing 21 countries alongside Indian officers.

In his speech, the Vice-President praised IN-STEP as an innovative endeavor promoting cooperation on critical strategic issues. He emphasized India’s role as a driving force for global peace, citing its cultural commitment to harmony along with a robust democratic framework.

The two-week strategic engagement, overseen by the National Security Council Secretariat, Ministry of External Affairs, and Ministry of Defence, was described as a timely joint initiative. The Vice President lauded the careful planning behind the program by the NDC and the Vivekananda International Foundation.

Participants were encouraged to delve into a wide range of topics spanning geopolitical dynamics to conflict resolution strategies. Stressing the significance of global peace and security, the Vice-President underscored the necessity for collaboration in tackling modern challenges like technological advancements and disruptive technologies.

He highlighted the evolving nature of security concerns and emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving global conflicts. The Vice-President emphasized the program’s role in facilitating the exchange of knowledge and comprehension of intricate geopolitical landscapes.

In the face of existential challenges such as climate change, pandemics, and cyber threats, the Vice-President called for unified and comprehensive responses grounded in fundamental values. He urged participants to transcend conventional thought processes and harness collective strengths to overcome shared obstacles.

Reiterating India’s dedication to fostering global peace and stability, the Vice-President highlighted India’s leadership in utilizing disruptive technologies for sustainable progress. He expressed confidence in India’s ascent as a pivotal global player capable of catalyzing a favorable environment for peace.

Concluding his address, the Vice-President urged participants to challenge assumptions and embrace open dialogue to devise holistic solutions. He expressed gratitude to the NDC for facilitating such enlightening discussions and extended best wishes to participants in their efforts to safeguard the planet for future generations.
